THIRTEEN YEARS OLD, ALREADY A CHAMPION
Today, Rüzgar Okman turns 13. At an age when most of his peers watch from the grandstands, he lined up as the youngest driver on the Türkiye Drift Şampiyonası grid and finished his very first round on top.

A ROAD MAP TOO BIG FOR HIS AGE
Born in Northern Cyprus, Okman took the wheel the moment he was old enough to fit a seat. In March 2026, at the KKDŞ season opener at NEU Event Park, and in the very first race of his career, he won the Semi-Pro category to become the youngest race-winning driver in KKDŞ history. He reached the Pro semifinals on the same weekend.
His journey on the Turkish mainland began in October 2025, at the season finale of TOSFED Drift Kupası. On his debut weekend he qualified second and finished second. It was only the beginning.
İSTANBUL PARK: SIGNING UNDER THE RECORDS
At Round 1 of the Türkiye Drift Şampiyonası at İstanbul Park, Rüzgar topped qualifying with a 92. He was the only driver to clear the 90 mark that day. From there he never looked back: a bye in the TOP 16, a win over Muhammet Başer in the TOP 8, a semifinal over teammate Akay Akbil, and a final over the experienced Çağlar Küçükdumlu.
By the end of the round he had the maximum points a single weekend can offer: 100. He did it by beating senior PRO drivers far older and far more experienced than himself. A 12-year-old made the toughest drift grid in Türkiye accept him as its leader.
A TALENT THAT BLOWS LIKE THE WIND
Drift is not about speed alone. It is a discipline scored by judges on line, angle, style and commitment. That is why Rüzgar's success is the product not only of bravery, but of maturity and a feel for control well beyond his years. True to his name, which means "wind" in Turkish, he leaves his mark on every track he sweeps across.
A long career, a trophy cabinet waiting to be filled and many records still to be written lie ahead of him. Knowing that this journey in Sailun Racing Team colours has only just begun is reason enough for all of us to be excited.
