Career Summary
Berfu Tutumlu is regarded as one of the pioneers of Türkiye’s drift scene and holds the 2024 Türkiye Drift Champion title. Off the track, she continues her competitive career alongside her role as Chair of the Board at Bergiz Holding. A graduate of Atılım University in Ankara, Berfu actively brings her technical perspective and competitive approach to both corporate leadership and motorsport.
2021 Breakthrough
Berfu’s first major competitive breakthrough came in August 2021, when she won Round 7 of Red Bull Car Park Drift Türkiye in Bursa. Standing out among 23 elite drivers, she claimed the Türkiye Champion title. Scoring 399 out of 400 points, she delivered a near-flawless run and broke the Red Bull Car Park Drift world points record. The result earned her the right to represent Türkiye at the Red Bull world finals in Egypt. This victory placed her name firmly in the national drift spotlight.
2024 Championship Season
In 2023, Berfu gained remarkable momentum with ApexMasters Drift Club, one of Türkiye’s premier drift organisations. Across the club’s social media, her performances behind the wheel of the purpose-built 850 HP BMW E92 Eurofighter stood out. In the same year, she took part in private training and tandem sessions in Northern Cyprus, further refining her driving style and technical proficiency.
The 2024 season was the peak of Berfu’s drift career. She swept all four rounds of the ApexMasters Türkiye Drift Series for a perfect season, drawing particular acclaim for her dramatic final performance at Körfez Raceway. Her championship was officially ratified by the Turkish Motorsports Federation (TOSFED), formally sealing the Türkiye Drift Champion title. The achievement earned her respect within motorsport circles across the country.
International Stage
Berfu’s success continued on the international stage. At the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, she earned the honour of wearing the national colours and represented Türkiye on her own in the drift discipline. Driving her specially built BMW E92 Eurofighter, she carried her performance in practice, qualifying and tandem battles onto the world stage.
Bergiz Holding & Beyond
Beyond racing, Berfu plays an active role as a senior executive within Bergiz Holding. Blending her board-level responsibilities with her passion for motorsport, she also takes an active part in the holding’s brand communications and promotional work. Thanks to her corporate leadership as much as her results on track, she has become a figure who inspires the next generation of drivers.
From her first national victory in 2021, through her domination of the 2024 season, her ongoing success through the 2025 season, and flying the Turkish flag on the international arena, Berfu Tutumlu has emerged as one of Türkiye’s most influential drift athletes — a story shaped by technical knowledge, relentless competition, corporate leadership and determination.
