DEFINITION
An incomplete run is any run that the driver does not finish according to the course definition. Causes include spin, two-wheels-off, mechanical failure or stalling.
Judges record the run as incomplete and either award a zero score (in qualifying) or give the run to the opponent (in tandem).
HISTORY & ORIGIN
The incomplete-run designation has been part of drift judging since the very first D1GP events; the term and the consequences are universal.
TECHNIQUE BREAKDOWN
If the driver spins, recovers and finishes, judges may still mark it complete (with a score deduction). If the car ends up off-course or stops, the run is incomplete.
PRO TIPS & COMMON MISTAKES
• If you spin, finish anyway if it's safe — judges sometimes give partial credit.
• Common mistake: getting out of the car to argue. Stay buckled until the marshals wave you off.
