Career Summary
Özer Mollamehmetoğlu belongs to the founding generation of Turkish drift racing, holding decisive roles on both the track and the administrative side of the sport. He was part of the team that introduced drifting to Türkiye in 2006 and has since contributed directly to the institutional build-out of the discipline under the national federation. A graduate of Istanbul University, Mollamehmetoğlu sustains a professional racing career alongside his executive roles in business.
Business Career
Mollamehmetoğlu is the founder of Lastik.com and serves as General Manager and Chairman of the Board at Mollaoğlu Otomotiv, one of Türkiye’s leading tire distributors. Mollaoğlu Otomotiv handles the Türkiye distribution of Goodyear, Michelin, Continental, Nankang, and Addo India.
Drift Career
Mollamehmetoğlu launched his competitive racing career in 2014 with a BMW E36 M3, converting the original naturally aspirated S50 engine to a turbocharged setup producing 500+ hp. Racing under Nankang Drift Team alongside Mert Bilaloğlu, Musa Topbaş, and Kemal Özhaseki, he claimed the Türkiye Teams Championship at the 2015 APEXMASTERS Turkish Drift Championship.
In 2016 he transferred to TeamART Motorsports, finishing second in the team standings that year and winning both the local and national titles in TOSFED Kartepe Hill Climb Category 4. He took third place at the 2018 Red Bull Car Park Drift Türkiye, third at the 2021 APEXMASTERS İstanbul round, and another podium third place during the 2023 season — establishing a consistent presence on the championship podium.
In 2019 he switched chassis from the BMW to a Nissan 200SX, sourcing an S14 and performing the S15 conversion while transplanting the turbocharged S50 engine from his BMW into the new platform. He continues to race in the colors of TeamART Motorsports & Nankang.
Drift Club Leadership
Mollamehmetoğlu serves as Chairman of Drift Otomobil Sporları Kulübü Derneği (Drift Kulübü), the TOSFED-affiliated club that sits behind the APEXMASTERS Series. The club provides the administrative and sporting backbone of the Turkish Drift Championship and other national organizations under the federation. This leadership role places him at the heart of the institutional development of drift racing in Türkiye.
