BIOGRAPHY
Dmitriy Illyuk is a Ukrainian professional drift driver who has been competing since 2008. He is best known internationally for winning the gold medal in the Drifting Cup at the 2019 FIA Motorsport Games in Vallelunga, taking the first gold of the inaugural event for Ukraine.
At national level he is a three-time Ukrainian drift champion (2008, 2012 and 2016) and also took the 2012 Eastern European (EEDC) title. In 2019 he won the Hungarian round of the Drift Kings International Series and finished the season 10th overall.
Illyuk is a familiar name in Türkiye. He won the final round of the 2016 Türkiye Drift Şampiyonası at İzmit Körfez, and the following year took victory again in Round 2 of the 2017 season at Atatürk Olympic Stadium in İstanbul, beating Kemal Özhaseki in the final battle.
His car is a Nissan S14 known as "The Drako", built around a VK56 5.6-litre V8 with twin Garrett GTX3071R Gen II turbochargers, producing around 1,050 hp. He is an official Monster Energy athlete and works with YUKO, Garrett Motion, Feal Suspension and Turbosmart.
